Stretching is so important but we often leave it out of our routine. I confess that I blew off stretching when I was in a rush or just pooped. Then my physical therapist outlined the benefits and I have been stretching regularly ever since. Here is why you should. It prevents injury! It increases blood flow is great for circulation. It will improve your performance. It leads to better posture. I love stretching for all these reasons the motion it lengthens muscles so you don’t feel (or look) all knotted up.
Here are a few tips!
Breath, hold and exhale!!!!
Hold your stretch for 30 seconds (or more).
Stretch before and after you exercise.
Bouncing is a no no!
If it hurts, back off.
