We love granola. A lot. But here’s the thing about granola…Most store-bought brands are loaded with calories. Which means you need to be incredibly careful when it comes to monitoring your portions with this tasty treat. But here’s the thing. Granola is amazing. And we find it really difficult to limit our portions to 1 tbsp per serving.
That’s why Olivia created her unbelievably delicious “Stuff Your Face” Granola. She cut out many of the common high-calorie ingredients (like nuts, peanut butter, and coconut) and added volume by supplementing with low-calorie rice cereal. It’s tasty, easy-to-make and the perfect topping for your yogurt or smoothie bowl!
2 ½ cups crispy rice cereal (We love Rice Krispies!)
2 cups oats
¼ cup agave (or maple syrup)
¼ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup raisins
Optional – 1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit
In a large bowl, combine crispy rice cereal, oats, agave, vegetable oil, and extract (if you have it)
Spray a baking sheet with a non-stick cooking spray
Spread mixture evenly on baking sheet
Bake in preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes
Cool, then stir in raisins
Store in an airtight container
